Thunder Bay Resort is open year around.

Colorama is a beautiful time of year to enjoy the spectacular fall colors and excellent fishing. Come see and hear the loons and watch the eagles soar over the resort.

Lac Vieux Desert is a 4,380 acre lake that borders the Wisconsin and Upper Michigan line. Great fishing for musky, walleye, bass, northern and panfish. Safe, sandy swimming beach with a 25 ft. water trampoline and a canoe on the beach for use by any guest.  All watersports are enjoyed on the lake.

Nine 80 foot piers for docking your boat . Completely modern and ultra clean cabins with fully equipped kitchens including a microwave, automatic coffee maker and color TV. Gas stoves, large refrigerators, bed linens furnished (please bring your own bath and kitchen towels). Grills & picnic tables come with each cabin. Beautiful lake views from each cabin.

Lac Vieux Desert is known for its breathtaking beauty, and we want to make sure your time in the water is just as perfect as the views. To help maintain our pristine shoreline, we have installed a new aquatic aerator system. This gentle, continuous water circulation naturally eliminates muck and prevents stagnation, keeping the lake bottom firm and the water incredibly clear. Because of this upgrade, the beautiful sand beach surrounding our property remains in flawless condition, offering an idyllic and inviting spot for swimming, floating, and enjoying the lake.
